Zen Garden Project

The Friends recently sponsored the construction of a zen garden outside home 788 on campus. The AuSSLC maintenance team and contractors did a great job with this project, and residents are already visiting and enjoying the zen garden every day. We would also like to extend a special thanks to The Shade Project for their grant, which helped fund a pergola shade cover.

The zen garden is an active treatment engagement tool as well as a self-soothing mechanism to help minimize incidences of maladaptive behavior. We are proud to have been able to support a wonderful project such as this that will enhance the quality of life for the residents of the living center, and especially home 788.

Volunteer and Donate

THE JOY OF GIVING! - It's fun to make people happy, watch their smiles and their gratitude when you do an act of kindness for them. If you are that kind of person, then we are the perfect place for you to have lots of fun.The residents of the Living Center would greatly appreciate time spent with them.
